Basic functions of humans are seeing, listening, speaking and moving.
Using these functions, we express information and communicate with
other persons, machines or the environment. There are, however, a few
handicapped persons unfortunately lost such function. We are engaged in
research and development of systems supporting such disabled persons.
Research of systems for the handicapped is much more difficult than
those for normal persons, but there are many challenging themes and
technical issues to be solved. Furthermore idea and technique in the
field of rehabilitation engineering will be applied to development of
new general systems.
